GETTING ON STAGE AT THE PUNCHLINE SF
How does one do it, you ask? Patiently.
Here’s the skinny:
Start going to open mics around town. If you’re new to town, or need to jog your memory, check out SFstandup’s calendar of weekly open mics throughout the Bay Area.
Put in face time at the SF Punchline’s Sunday night Showcase. Start coming every week to watch. For at least one year. That’s 52 Showcases. (Why? Because they need to know that you’re seriously dedicated to a career in comedy, and not just stopping by on a whim, or in a state of midlife crisis.)
The most important thing is face time. Get your face seen at the Punchline SF on Sunday nights, and at open mics around the city. Start to get to know other local comics! Work out your set! It’ll pay off in the end.

Good luck! Don’t give up.
